About Zagros green fuel
The purpose of establishing the company is to localize bioethanol production technology in the first place
Fuel bioethanol as the most important and widely used biofuel in the world has a special and significant position among renewable energies.
In the first place bioethanol is considered as improver, supplementary, clear and green enhancer for petrol and in next step it is proposed and introduced as clean and without technical and economic problems fuel in the world by improvement of technology and variety of using different raw materials (especially cellulosic sources).
Unfortunately Iran doesn’t proceed a noticeable and qualified action in field of producing fuel bioethanol. The Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO Group) as greatest and oldest development organization in industry sector put investigation and study about biofuel and specifically bioethanol in their work orders from early decade of 80.
Fortunately following to trip of the supreme leader (Ayatollah Khamenei) to Kermanshah the subject of constructing fuel bioethanol producing unit by Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran approved.
Exhaustive technical and economic studies implies of suitable justification of this project and importantly omitting MTBE which is inevitable and replacing it with fuel bioethanol. The subject which independently investigated by Islamic parliament research center and demanding government in a formal report to plan developing investment and producing fuel bioethanol and gradual elimination of MTBE from our countries fuel which has irreparable destructive effects for environment and human health.

"Shgostar" style investment
Considering the potential of “Shagstar” in producing and selling its products in the domestic and export markets, the company’s profitability forecast has also been published in the process of accepting shares on the stock exchange. Accordingly, it is predicted that Zagros Green Fuel Development Company will be able to achieve a net profit of about 7 trillion tomans for the next 8 years. Also, if the product is produced at full production capacity, it is predicted that the company will be able to make a profit of $70 million per year. One point that should be considered in relation to “Shagstar” is the company’s rial costs for supplying raw materials and selling in dollars based on the global price of ethanol. In the following, we will take a look at the current value of assets and the trend of forecasting “Shagstar”‘s profit.
